WRESTLING MERCHANDISE 101: new Taya Valkyrie figure, updated Impact merch, more

Almost a year after ordering it, Boss Fight Studios’ new Taya Valkyrie figure has finally arrived. It was definitely worth the wait. I have to consider it one of the best numbers of the year. The detail work is excellent, such as the tattoos, boots and wrist decorations. Even the character’s hairstyle is on point. The articulation allows you to pose the figure in different positions.

This 6-inch figure is available on bossfightshop.com for $22.99 plus shipping. It is compatible with other Boss Fight figures such as Penta Zero M, Rey Fenix and Juventud Guerrera.

In the news

-As mentioned before, I attended the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show last month. Much like most AEW shows, the merchandise lines were long. I saw two event-specific t-shirts ($40 each), a CM Punk shirt, an autographed photo with Jon Moxley & Tanahashi signatures was available but sold out, and replica AEW World Title belts were also available ($850).

-The WWE Auction site is currently offering 11×14 signed art prints of Ronda Rousey for $150 (plus shipping). You can check it on auction.www.com.

-Highspots has a full virtual signing schedule for the month. Coming next week, Miro, DDP and Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Pre-order and mail-out information is available at highspotsauctions.com.

-Mattel is releasing a 2-pack figure based on the truly gruesome 1989 film No Holds Barred. The Rip (Hulk Hogan) and Zeus (Tiny Lister) minifigures come packaged in a container that looks like a VHS tape. The figures go on sale next week at San Diego Comic Con on 7/20/22 and 7/22/22 at creations.mattel.com.
