People steal from stores for many reasons. Some people are crushed by the rising prices of everything and they need it to survive. Then there are these two, pictured above. They are accused of stealing approximately $12,500 worth of items from the Giant supermarket on York Road. Police said they entered the store twice, once on February 21, 2022 and another on March 7, 2022.
They walked in, stayed in the store for about 50 minutes, filling their shopping carts and getting into a silver Toyota Rav-4. This vehicle had no tag. Police said thefts at this location totaled $12,500. However the couple is suspected in other thefts in the same area. They pushed the carts past all the registers without paying, police said.
Police believe they may be selling the stolen items to locations in Kensington to get money for drugs. Bucks and Montgomery county police are looking for the couple. The woman was last seen wearing leopard print pants and tiger stripe shoes.
