MPs: Woman stole lotto tickets after thieves shot clerk

WARNER ROBINS, Ga, (AP) — Central Georgia sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman they believe stole lottery tickets after others shot and fatally injured a clerk.

Houston County Sheriff’s Captain Jon Holland said Friday that deputies arrested Lakiesha Deshawn McGhee, 43, of Bonaire on Monday after finding evidence that McGhee stole lottery tickets from the same office in the county. Warner Robins business where clerk Sabrina Renee Dollar was dying. . Holland said deputies also believe McGhee briefly disconnected power to the building’s security system before rescuers arrived.

McGhee is charged with theft by taking and tampering with evidence and remains jailed in Houston County without bail. It is not known if she has an attorney to speak on her behalf.

Holland did not accuse McGhee of being involved in the Dollar shooting, saying McGhee called 911 after three unidentified people walked into the business, which offers video poker and sells lottery tickets, just after midnight. January 18.

The video captured footage of three gunmen bursting in, apparently looking to steal the store’s cash. The video shows one of the robbers taking cash from McGhee and another woman before another man entered the store’s office and fired his gun.
