Gloucester County cops said an elderly man died after being struck by a vehicle in a supermarket parking lot on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Monroe Township Police Department, the accident happened just before 3:00 p.m. at ShopRite on the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown.
There, an investigation revealed that a 62-year-old woman was pulling her SUV out of a parking spot when she collided with a 76-year-old man pushing a shopping cart.
Police said the impact knocked the man down and hit his head on the sidewalk. He was taken to Cooper Trauma where he was pronounced dead around 5:30 p.m. that evening.
The identities of the driver and the victim were not disclosed and police did not say whether charges were pending.
