There are plenty of must-see destinations here in New Jersey, but I agree with Cheapism, which has one must-see destination by state.
There were many obvious destinations across the country like the Northern Lights in Alaska, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii, Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania, and the 911 in New York just to name a few.
Here in New Jersey, they named Cape May because the New Jerseys can’t miss their destination. They talk about the historic monument status of the entire city as well as a “virgin” beach that they note in another survey as one of the 20 best beaches in the United States.
I really like Cape May; I really feel like I’m on vacation when I’m there. From the guesthouses, the incredible dining choices and the historic town, you all feel just steps away from this world-class beach. It is a great place to define as a destination.
I’m letting you know now so you can plan your trip to Cape May next summer. Although I encourage you to go in the summer, it is a nice place to go during the next vacation. The town is decorated like a Norman Rockwell Christmas card.
Enjoy our very own Cape May and have a very Merry Christmas!
