Even More Epic Ice Cream Shop Opens Bakery in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Desserts are taken to a whole new level of epicness thanks to Bridgewater resident Kevin Trimarchi with his new Even More Epic ice cream shop and bakery.

Located at 84 West Main Street in Somerville, in the former Rita’s Italian Ice, Even More Epic is essentially an extension of Trimarchi’s success. epic cookieswhich opened last May.

“When I opened Epic Cookies, I was doing it as a hobby since everyone loves cookies and wanted to bring them to Somerville. I didn’t think it was such a big business, but it took off” , said Trimarchi. “We kind of got out of the Epic location and were looking to build a bigger bakery.”

That’s when Rita’s location opened up just two doors down from Epic.

“It allows me to have a bigger bakery out back to make cookie dough, desserts, and custom orders while having ice cream out front,” Trimarchi said.

This is Trimarchi’s latest venture since opening 22 West Tap & Grill in Bridgewater, Oink and Moo BBQ Market in Somerville and Holmdel, and Epic Cookies in Somerville.

Somerville already has several ice cream parlors, but Trimarchi wanted to offer a different twist by bringing rolled ice cream to the area.

“I want to do something different from anyone else,” Trimarchi said.

Essentially, the rolled ice cream takes about 4 minutes to create from scratch in front of the customer. Liquid ice cream is poured over the surface with toppings rolled into it before being scraped into long cylinders.

Currently, Even More Epic offers four soft flavors, many toppings, milkshakes, epic milkshakes, cookies, cake pops, cakes, and more.

Most desserts are take-out, including cakes that can be personalized with a saying written on them for an additional $5.

Custom orders are also accepted for wedding cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, etc.

“You name it, we can recreate it,” Trimarchi said.

Currently, Even More Epic is running its pre-opening Tuesday through Thursday from 3-10 p.m., Friday from 3-11 p.m., Saturday from noon-11 p.m., and Sunday from noon-8 p.m.
