All their cupcakes are made from scratch everyday baked with locally sourced produce wherever possible and hand-frosted with a signature swirl meant to give off a home-made vibe. Cupcake Royale also offers award-winning ice creams and coffees from the famous and renowned Stumptown Coffee.
Cupcake Royale’s bakery operations manager, Jessica Gregory, has developed an exclusive cupcake for Burien’s new location, the “German B-Town Chocolate Cake”.
“Burien was appointed by Gottleb Von Boorian, a German immigrant,” said Jessica Gregory, Cupcake Royale’s bakery operations manager. “The story goes that Von Boorian came to Sunnydale, which was just a community of trails and small houses with no roads or commercial buildings. He built a cabin on the southeast corner of what is now Lake Burien and formed the community into a town named after him (misspelled over the years). It felt right to honor the city’s founder with a fitting nod to his heritage as we put our roots down here on our own.
The German B-Town chocolate cake is only available in stores in Burien.
Local artist Sarah Robbins was selected to paint the boutique’s wrap-around mural depicting Burien landmarks, such as the Aviation Museum, Botanical Garden, and the annual Feast of the Car Show. fathers. Robbins created all the murals for all of the Cupcake Royale sites.
Along with the brand’s signature pink palate, the new location will also feature a brilliant mix of purples and grays, Gephart said.
The shop will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day
