Bucks Finals t-shirts are temporarily selling at the Fiserv Pro Shop

A line of at least 100 people, some wearing Bucks jerseys, others accented with stars and stripes, marched from the Pro Shop to the Fiserv Forum on Sunday morning, as Bucks fans waited to purchase some merchandise.

An attendant handed out disposable masks to the waiting fans, wishing them a “happy July 4th” when he passed.

After the Milwaukee Bucks historic win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night, the most coveted items for sale on Sunday were stage commemorative merchandise: $ 25 final hats and t-shirts.

After 15 minutes, the oversized and oversized T-shirts – arrayed in bundles on four tables surrounded by crowds – were almost gone to the store. At noon, an hour after opening, an employee told latecomers that all of the NBA Finals-themed tees were apparently sold out – at least for the day.

The queue quickly evaporated and people dispersed, some murmuring to go to Kohl’s or Dick’s or check online. Others lingered outside to discuss their team’s historic victory.

“This is what our city needs,” said Milwaukee native Brian Davis of the Bucks’ success, standing outside the Pro Shop alongside longtime fan Yulonda Horton, born a year after the last. time the Bucks won the final, in 1971.

“There’s a lot of pride in that,” Davis said. “We went game after game after game.”

Davis was hoping to get a hat for the final, but they sold out.

Dick’s Sporting Goods stores near Milwaukee also had a limited stock of final gear on Sunday night.

But fear not, Chrysta Jorgensen, retail director for the Milwaukee Bucks, told reporters that more products will be available in the coming days to meet demand for hats and t-shirts.
